Sofia Park Bike Tour #1

Embracing nature in urban areas.

The beauty of parks and city gardens.

Welcome to the first post of the Sofia Park Bike Tour Review series. I’m a person born in the big city(biggest in our country that is). I grew up in this city and although I love the urban areas, I still appreciate nature through the parks and gardens available for citizens.

Controversially, I love calmness and relaxing music, that can help you focus on your studies, work or just help you relief your stress.

So here I am, thinking of how I can combine both and share this sensation with other people.

The Idea behind Sofia Park Bike Tour

While I was going around town with my bicycle, it hit me.
Why don’t I create a YouTube Channel, where I can share my trips around all the parks in the city while adding a drop of relaxing music in the background?
It will be a series of videos with an average length of one hour.
In addition, you can just listen to the music even if you don’t watch the video itself!

So what I’ve been doing is – I’ve been capturing videos of all the parks, that I visit here, in our city and hopefully I will visit others to check their parks as well.

First Three Parks

I’ve prepared my first Video of the series and It’s been published today (YAYY)!!

The video shows my first trip around three parks and the path that I’ve used to get to them. It’s my first video, so It’s not very good, but I hope I will get better with time.

Actually, this First Video is not about only one Sofia park, but about my favorite three parks, that I love to go around the most – North Park, West Park and a small park close to the center of town called St. Trinity. (because of a church in it)

West Park

“Западен парк” (West Park) is а popular urban park in Sofia, Bulgaria. This park is located in the western part of the city and provides extensive green areas and opportunities for relaxation and entertainment for local residents and people that visit Sofia.

The park boasts a large green area suitable for walking, picnicking, and sports activities. There are lakes and fountains, creating a pleasant atmosphere and offering opportunities for leisurely walks and relaxation, and a lot of playgrounds for children, making it suitable for families and kids.
You can also find soccer fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts, providing opportunities for sports and recreation.
“Zapaden park” frequently hosts various cultural and sports events that attract local residents and visitors.

North Park – my personal favorite Sofia Park

The next park – “Северен Парк” (North Park) is also one of the popular parks in Sofia. It is located (unsurprisingly) in the North part of the city.

This park provides various opportunities for entertainment and recreation to the citizens and visitors of Sofia. The park has various facilities and areas suitable for walks, picnics, sports and recreation. It is distinguished by its large green space, which provides an opportunity for contact with nature and fresh air, especially valuable in the densely populated capital.

St. Trinity Park

Света Тройца (St. Trinity) is one small park, near the far center of the city. The park boasts a mix of natural beauty and recreational facilities. Visitors can enjoy pleasant walks through tree-lined paths and relax on one of the numerous benches.
Unfortunately, there is not much parks in that part of the city, so it tends to be too overcrowded during hot weekend days, but it has a great restaurant called “At Timo” and a small BBQ hut.
